Did you ever wonder what grad school is like? Did you go through it and want to relive it?
GRADQUEST captures all the excitement and action of being a poor student in graduate school. Take classes, work on your research, pay your bills, and try to deal with administrative and funding hurdles that get in your way.
Will you make it all the way to tenured professor?
GRADQUEST was a sardonic RPG expression of my disillusionment at academia after I dropped out of a PhD program at UNC Chapel Hill. The main gameplay mechanic is dice allocation, which represents time and prioritization and was later done better by Dicey Dungeons. The game was originally created for Flash and mobile, but is no longer available on either. However, there are native desktop versions available for free on itch.io.
